Cremation - Columbarium Niches

A common ash management option in Singapore is the placement of the ashes in columbarium niches. Niches are available at both government-managed and private columbariums.

There are two government-managed columbariums: Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium Complex, as well as Choa Chu Kang Columbarium. Bookings for these columbariums can be made online or in-person at the respective booking offices.

If you are looking for a temple or private columbarium, these are just some locations you can consider:

  • Nirvana Memorial Garden (富贵山庄)
  • The Garden Of Remembrance
  • Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (Bright Hill Temple)
  • Tze Tho Aum Temple

The pricing differs for each columbarium. You may also be keen to know that we have a collection of urns in various materials, sizes, shapes, and colours for you to choose from.

Cremation - Sea Burial

Sea burial (also known as sea scattering) is another way of ash management after cremation. This option is limited to certain parts of the island. Our crew and boatman will accompany you and your family out to the approved scattering waters. If you wish to have any religious ceremony onboard, our monks or priests will be at hand to facilitate the ritual.

There’s a variety of boats and yachts for sea burials, each with different seating capacities and facilities. You may choose to board from one of the locations listed below, but do note that each location has a specific fleet of boats and/or yachts:

  • Changi Jetty
  • Marina South Pier
  • ONE°15 Marina

Sea scattering can be conducted between 7am and 7pm daily. For more information, please contact the Port Marine Safety Control Centre at +65 6325 2488.

Specially for sea scattering, we have the biodegradable seashell and lotus urns that will stay gracefully afloat for about 10 to 20 minutes before dissolving into the water, allowing you some peaceful moments with your loved one before sending them off.

Cremation - Inland Ash Scattering

Ground burial has become less popular as a result of Singapore’s limited land space. In its place, cremation is now the more preferred alternative. While cremation brings to mind traditional urns or sea scatterings, there’s an increasingly talked about option that’s none other than inland scattering.

You can scatter the ashes of your loved one at the Garden of Peace, located within Choa Chu Kang Cemetery. The Garden of Peace comprises designated lanes for the scattering of ashes. These lanes are spaciously laid out between trees and hedges to accord you and your family privacy during this intimate, emotional moment.

There are two entrances to the Garden of Peace:

  • The North Gate along Old Choa Chu Kang Road, next to bus stop number 31139
  • The South Gate along Cemetery South Street 18, at the junction of Cemetery South Street 18 and Muslim Cemetery Path 11

The following verification documents are required before inland ash scattering can be conducted:

  • Application of Inland Ash Scattering
  • Identity papers of authorised person or next-of-kin (e.g. NRIC, passport, etc.)

For more information, please refer to the National Environment Agency’s terms and conditions.

Cremation - Keepsake Jewellery

Our keepsake jewellery allows you to keep a part of your loved one close to you always. Featuring various styles and colours, the collection is beautifully handcrafted in Australia.

A token of your loved one’s ashes is kept securely in a chamber, closed with a tungsten stainless steel countersunk screw using the hex or Allen key provided. Each pendant comes along with an adjustable 925 silver snake chain, so you can wear it anywhere you go.
